Our Doctor

Your story matters to us. My goal of this practice is to create a family centered atmosphere where I can truly sit down and get to know every single patient. Dental treatment is personalized, whether you come in for cosmetic work, you have a toothache, or you just arrive for your regular six month cleanings. We are here to make your experience as easy as possible and I treat each patient as if they were my own family.
Dr. Waters received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He then went on to Midwestern University in Glendale to earn his Doctorate of Medicinal Dentistry. The highlight of his profession is serving the community and providing the highest level of care. He has taken part in several smile makeover cases here in Scottsdale with the Tuttle Shuttle Charity. He has a particular passion for snap-in dentures on implants, fixed dentures on implants, and has earned a master certification in this area. He also loves to keep up to date with cosmetic dentistry practices and frequently takes continuing education courses.
Outside of work, he loves to spend his time reading, working on cars, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Waters and his wife, Katie, married in Maui in 2021. They have a Goldendoodle, Molly, whom he will occasionally bring along with him to the office. They have plans for upcoming travels later this year.
Our Office Manager: Robin
Robin grew up in Phoenix, and is a 4th generation Arizona native. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and five children, and loves the outdoors. When she wants peace and quiet, you can find her curled up with a good book or watching documentaries.
She comes to our office with over 17 years of dental expertise. She started her dental career as a dental assistant and quickly found her way to management. Robin is very passionate about dentistry and loves to see patients change their lives with a smile makeover!
Our Dental Hygienist: Christan
Christan grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated with her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene in 2018. She moved to Scottsdale in 2019 to join the Serenity Smiles team, and she absolutely loves it here! In her free time, she enjoys working out and spending as much time as she can traveling with her fiancé, Ty. They will be tying the knot in April 2024!
Our Dental Hygienist: Jessie
Jessie comes to our office with over 10 years of Dental Hygiene experience. Jessie grew up in a small farming family in Kansas, and moved to AZ about in the spring of 2022. She graduated in 2012 from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s of science dental hygiene. Jessie enjoys trying new restaurants, hiking, and exploring all of what Arizona has to offer. Her hobbies include concerts, fun cars and going to the gym!
Our Dental Hygienist: Cara
Cara is an Illinois native with over 15 years of Dental Hygiene experience. When Cara isn’t taking great care of patients at Serenity Smiles, she teaches our future hygienists at Carrington College in Mesa. Cara loves spending time with her fiance Gary and their pug Gillie. Cara loves exploring new restaurants, is a concert and comedy show enthusiast, and loves to travel.
Our Dental Assistant: Eric
Eric is an Arizona native and grew up in Mesa. He spends his time working on his car, reading, and going to the gym. Being a previous orthodontic patient, Eric was inspired to become a dental assistant. He enjoys laughing and talking with his patients, while helping them achieve their ideal smile! Eric would love to live in Japan one day and become a dentist.
